Description
We are seeking an experienced Digital Media Director to lead our integrated digital media efforts. This individual will be responsible for managing and directing the Paid and Franchise Development Digital Media departments, driving strategic digital initiatives, and leading high-performing teams to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
Responsibilities
Departmental Leadership and Team Management
- Manage and direct integrated Paid (B2C) and Franchise Development (B2B) Digital Media departments, encompassing:
- Paid digital advertising strategies and campaigns
- Consumer and franchise development digital media
- Lead digital media teams by:
- Inspiring and motivating team members
- Providing essential tools, training and professional development
- Removing operational roadblocks
- Conducting performance reviews and evaluations
- Mentor and guide digital team members
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture
Strategic Digital Media Development
- Develop and implement comprehensive digital media strategies focused on:
- User acquisition
- Lead generation
- User retention across paid media channels
- Oversee paid media campaign execution, including:
- Display advertising
- Search media
- Media advertising
- Programmatic advertising
Business Development and Client Strategy
- Support agency business development efforts by:
- Driving new client acquisition for digital services
- Cross-selling digital services to existing clients
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for internal and external digital media requests
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other department leads to ensure:
- Integrated, cohesive multi-service strategies
- Alignment with overarching client strategies
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with emerging digital media technologies and trends
- Develop and document paid media best practices
- Bring creative vision and innovative approaches to digital storytelling
- Provide strategic recommendations based on:
- Industry trends
- First and third-party data insights
- Market research and audience analysis
Performance and Budget Management
- Manage digital media budgets with a focus on:
- Maximum effectiveness
- Optimal budget allocations
- Measurable ROI/ROAS/CTRs
- Track and deliver comprehensive digital media analytics and market insights
- Develop content frameworks and product narratives that support strategic recommendations
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in media, Communications, Digital Media, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in digital media
- Proven track record of successfully leading and developing digital media teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor and develop 5+ direct reports
- Expert-level knowledge of digital media platforms and technologies
- Building and motivating high-performing teams
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
- Demonstrated success in managing complex digital media campaigns
Preferred
- Master’s degree in communications or related field
- Experience in PR, digital or communications agency environment
