What We Do

What does it take to become a Champion?

Working harder than the competition, being fearless and having a solid strategy for success are good first steps. You also need a motivated support team that’s ready to push the boundaries and help you reach that next level.

At Champion, we take an integrative approach to building brands that spans multiple channels to achieve maximum impact. We immerse ourselves in your brand, industry trends and even your competition to create a compelling story that drives consumers and influencers to take action.

Our holistic approach includes media relations, social media, influencer partnerships, event planning and local market outreach – along with the occasional big splash – that gets people talking about your brand.

Media Relations

Our public relations game is unrivaled. Distinguished by world-class writing, exceptional creativity, attention to detial (haha, get it?) and a strong network of media relationships nurtured over the past 15 years, Champion’s track record speaks for itself.

As a trusted, go-to, top-of-mind resource for many local and national reporters, editors, producers and talent bookers, we’ve placed clients on CNN, CNBC, The TODAY Show, Good Morning America, Fox & Friends, Oprah, The Tonight Show, The Food Network, ESPN, FOX News, FOX Business, NPR and countless other local and national broadcast media.

Our work has graced the pages of USA Today, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, Wall Street Journal, Fortune, BusinessWeek, TIME, Sports Illustrated, Travel & Leisure, Vogue and countless other print publications.

Local Store Marketing

No market is too large or small for Champion to break through the clutter. Our team has helped successfully open more than 250 new restaurants over the last six years. We’ve created and nurtured media and influencer relationships from coast to coast, and even in some international markets. From new store openings, press conferences and product launches to strategic partnerships and VIP media events, Champion always brings its A-game.

We take a very personalized approach to local store marketing. Our team typically gets involved early to identify, research, recommend and execute local market activation opportunities — such as tie-ins with local schools and charities, sponsorships with community events and teams, pop-ups at neighboring office buildings and other grassroots activities that build brand awareness, traffic and community impact for our clients.

We handle all public relations before, during and after a grand opening. Champion can also recommend and secure celebrity appearances to drive heightened media interest. We plan and buy local media in support of the grand openings and/or to assist with struggling markets.

Big Splashes

Whether it’s launching a nationwide PR blitz, turning on a dime to help generate tons of donations for victims of natural disasters, promoting a major tribute concert featuring world-renowned musical acts or developing a year-long Centennial celebration with dozens of moving parts, Champion’s team excels when the spotlight is shining brightest.

We’ve even taken a crazy flash mob idea and turned it virtually overnight into an international viral video, thanks in part to a few “hyperventilating with joy” Facebook and Twitter posts from Taylor Swift.

Put us to the test and we’ll blow your socks off!

Franchise Development

Need leads? Content creation is an effective tool for building positive narratives that drive franchise leads. Sharing successful franchisee profiles, brand innovations and culinary advances in traditional media, trade publications and blog posts is a proven lead generator. There is nothing more powerful than a third-party endorsement of a franchise concept, and we know how to get them.

We also arrange speaking opportunities for our Clients’ leadership teams and their franchisees to establish them as subject matter experts in their industry. These opportunities provide shareable content for all traditional and social media channels, and they are an effective way to gather competitive intelligence.

“Public Relations is notoriously a ‘what have you done for me lately’ business and PR firms are judged based on their results. I’ve used countless PR firms over the years and I have yet to find any that compare to Champion Management’s consistent success rate of achieving significant results. Champion is the best in class.”

Kyle Noonan, Co-Owner & Founder, FreeRange Concepts

“Since 2012, Champion has been a strong partner to Raising Cane’s. Their team has helped us introduce our brand to new markets and grow existing markets by promoting more than 200 new restaurant openings.  Additionally, the team has played a key role in communicating our commitment to our communities.  I especially like that if you give them an idea or assignment they go for it and make it happen!”

Todd Graves, Founder & CEO, Raising Cane's
